In June 2019, parliament passed legislation requiring the government to reduce the UK’s net emissions of greenhouse gases by 100% relative to 1990 levels by 2050. The UK is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 under the Climate Change Act.

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has developed two new online calculators for creating pathways to net zero, called My2050 and the MacKay Carbon Calculator. The Calculator is a whole energy system model for the public to create pathways to decarbonising the UK energy system to meet our Net Zero target. It consists of two online tools: a universal tool called My2050 and a detailed energy stakeholder tool.

At Roadwai we can help you achieve your sustainability targets by providing an all-in-one platform to track, monitor and analyse your carbon footprint. See how the Roadwai platform works and fully understand the value for your organisation by book a demo call here.
